Terry Lujano grew up with a strong connection to the West, with roots in San Antonio, Texas. Being raised in a military family meant constantly moving and adapting to different places, but no matter the distance, that connection to Texas and what it stands for, never left.

The cowboy lifestyle was always something he respected, even without growing up in it. Over time, that respect turned into something more — a real appreciation for the work, the people, and the culture behind it. The draw to it never faded. The freedom, the work, and everything it represents stuck.

Hat shaping became his way in.

After stepping into a hat shop and seeing the craft firsthand, everything clicked. He started in December of 2025 with nothing more than a kettle and a willingness to learn, and from there it turned into something real. Every hat has been learned, earned, and built from the ground up. The early work wasn’t perfect, but the focus has always been on getting better and doing things the right way.

For Terry, this goes beyond shaping hats. It’s about earning respect, building real relationships, and being part of a trade that still means something. Not just a service — something people come back to and stand behind.

He believes anyone can wear a cowboy hat — you don’t have to be born into it. As long as there’s respect for the culture and what it represents, there’s a place for you in it.
